Sourdough Cheeseburgers With Flat Creek Lodge Cheddar

  • 1lb Tink’s Pasture Raised Ground Beef
  • ½ lb Tink’s Mild Sausage
  • 1 tbl worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tbl Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tbl Horseradish
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Flat Creek Lodge Natural Rind Cheddar Cheese, sliced or shredded
  • Sourdough Bread
  • Southern Swiss butter
  • Burger toppings as desired

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.
  2. Form into desired hamburger patty size and chill for 1 hour before cooking.
  3. Grill or sear in hot skillet to desired doneness.
  4. Top with cheddar cheese during the final 2 minutes of cooking to melt.
  5. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Meanwhile, heat just enough butter in skillet to lightly coat.
  7. Add slices of sourdough bread and toast both sides until golden brown.
  8. Place burger on toasted sourdough and top with your favorite ingredients.
